Afyon's sugar-textured white marble: coarse-crystalled, vein-free and sparkling.
Kar Şekeri is a sparkling, almost vein-free white marble from our Afyonkarahisar quarry whose texture resembles sugar crystals.
Appearance and origin
Coarse calcite crystals give the surface a glint that reflects light. There are no veins, so on large surfaces the pattern looks uniform and calm. It is used frequently for façades, floors and sculpture work and is a favourite for mosque and palace projects in the Middle East.

Areas of use
Large-area interior flooring, façade cladding, column wraps, exterior paving and steps. At 5 cm thickness it withstands heavy pedestrian traffic outdoors.
Finish and export
A sandblasted finish reduces slipperiness outdoors and lowers sun glare. Quarry: Afyonkarahisar (our own quarry). FOB İzmir price starts at 46 USD/m² for 2 cm grade-A slabs and varies with thickness, grade and quantity. A technical sheet and a sample tile are sent on request.
