Raw blocks are the raw material of the natural stone industry; quality, price and yield depend on block selection. Petrova numbers the blocks from its six quarries and grades them A, B and C by vein direction, colour tone and crack condition. Buyers can select blocks in person at the quarry or remotely by photo and video.
What we offer
- Raw blocks of 15–28 m³ with ± 5 cm tolerance and lengthwise or crosscut options
- Calibrated slabs averaging 280 x 160 cm in 2, 3 or 5 cm thickness
- Block-to-block colour and vein matching (book-match option)
- Slab reinforcement by resin bonding and mesh backing
Minimum order and lead time
The minimum order for blocks is one container (about 12–15 m³) or a 24-tonne truckload. For slabs a minimum of 500 m² (divisible into packages of about two containers) is recommended. Slabs in stock ship in seven days and made-to-order cutting in three to five weeks.
